Als Allophon (aus griech. allo „anders als“, fone „Stimme“, bed. „andersklingend“) bezeichnet man in der Linguistik eine lautliche Variante eines Phonems. Allophone werden auch als Phonemvarianten oder subphoneme Varianten bezeichnet.
