Zementit ist eine Verbindung von Eisen und Kohlenstoff der Zusammensetzung Fe3C (ein Eisencarbid) und tritt als metastabile Phase in Stahl und weißem Gusseisen auf. Er hat seinen Namen von „Zement“ (Zementstahl, früher „cämentierter Stahl“ = aufgekohlter Stahl).
