Sulfonal ist eine chemische Verbindung aus der Gruppe der Sulfone. Sulfonal wurde 1888 von Eugen Baumann hergestellt und später von Alfred Kast als Schlafmittel eingeführt. Durch die Entwicklung der Barbiturate wurden die Sulfonale abgelöst.
