- Die Motukawao Islands sind eine Inselgruppe im Nordosten der Nordinsel Neuseelands. Sie sind die nördlichste einer Reihe von Inselgruppen im Hauraki Gulf vor der Westküste der Coromandel Peninsula. Sie liegen etwa 5 km südwestlich von Colville und erstrecken sich über eine Länge von 7,6 km von den winzigen Motupotaka-Felsen (Black Rocks) im Nordwesten bis zu den drei kleinen Ngamotukaraka-Inseln (Three Kings Islands) und Moturua (Rabbit Island) im Südosten. Die größten Inseln der unbewohnten Inselgruppe sind Moturua (Rabbit Island, 24 ha), Motuwi (Double Island, 22 ha), Motukahaua (Happy Jack Island, 22 ha) und Motukaramarama (Motumarama, Bush Island, 18 ha). Kleinere Inseln sind Motumakareta, Motuwhakakewa, Motuwinukenuke (Square Island), Motutakupu (Gannet Island) und Frenchmans Cap. (de)
